2010
Paper, Ink, Goldleaf, Acrylic, Wood
18 x 18in.
My grandmother fell in May of 2010. She lay there on her bathroom floor disoriented for five hours. She had crawled to her bedroom in an attempt to make a phone call to my uncle, but could not remember the number, and had crawled back to the bathroom.
This piece is about the deterioration of memory. This is the beginning.
