"Joseph Merrick" is a collaboration with KS Rives, completed while traveling. KS meditated, conjuring visual images of Joseph Merrick for one hour. She then wrote down the messages she felt and obtained from these meditations. I cut the meditations up and placed them around the border. In addition, KS and I wrote two letters to Joseph Merrick, as if he were still alive, a sort of sympathetic love note. The underlying thought that developed through this process, was that Merrick wanted those with the ability to love, to by all means, LOVE! This is homage to the great Joseph Merrick.
